Writer Eleanor Bergstein was inspired to create Dirty Dancing after her previous film - It's My Turn - had erotic scenes cut in production. But the initial idea for Dirty Dancing was born from cut scenes in a previous film. Swept up in a holiday romance, Frances and Johnny fall for one another, culminating in the best summer of their lives.ĭirty Dancing will go down in history as one of the greatest musical films of all time. She’s unenthused by the resort activities on offer, but her interest is piqued when she lays eyes on Johnny Castle, the resort dance instructor. Set in the summer of 1963, 17-year-old Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman heads on a family holiday to New York’s Catskill Mountains.

Their secret zone 3 location - somewhere in west London - is only revealed to ticket holders, adding to the air of mystery and anticipation around Secret Cinema's latest production. Getting dressed up is what Secret Cinema is all about, so don't be shy when putting your costume together (watermelon optional). A very special screening of the film takes place after the immersive experience too, with key scenes acted out on stage at the same time - known as mirror moments. Expect romance, family fights, and plenty of dancing. Never seen the film? Not a problem - what better way to experience it for the first time than to be immersed in it.
As with all Secret Cinema events, photography and filming aren't allowed, so that you can fully immerse yourself in the moment without any distractions, and to keep the surprise for future Kellerman's guests. We can't give too much away - Secret Cinema excels at surprises, and this production will be no exception - but we do know there will be food, exotic cocktails, and a chance to shake those hips during a cha-cha lesson with Johnny. You may hear rumours and secret whispers, but ultimately it's up to you to decide if you dare follow the temptation and sneak out after dark. Wander around Kellerman's and mingle with other guests with some remarkable surprises on the way. Try your hand at croquet, shuffleboard and other games, or get your family together and compete for the Kellerman's cup in sports such as volleyball, mini golf and wacky races.
