On average, an elephant can feed up to 18 hours and consume hundreds of pounds of plant matter in a single day. Forest elephants' social groups differ slightly and may be comprised of only an adult female and her offspring. A single calf is born to a female once every four to five years and after a gestation period of 22 months-the longest of any mammal. Led by a matriarch, elephants are organized into complex social structures of females and calves, while male elephants tend to live in isolation or in small bachelor groups. Only some male Asian elephants have tusks, while both male and female African elephants grow tusks. For example, Asian elephants' ears are smaller compared to the large fan-shaped ears of the African species. The African savanna elephant is the largest elephant species, while the Asian forest elephant and the African forest elephant are of a comparable, smaller size.Īsian elephants differ in several ways from their African relatives, with more than 10 distinct physical differences between them.
Two genetically different African species exist: the savanna elephant and the forest elephant, with a number of characteristics that differentiate them both. Moon Baboon claims to be Rose's best friend, which is the same thing Cutie the Elephant claims.Elephants are the largest land mammals on earth and have distinctly massive bodies, large ears, and long trunks. Moon Baboon then proceeds to abduct May and Cody using a tractor beam and takes the both of them up into his world. At first, May and Cody make progress with the hacking, until Moon Baboon initiates a counter hack and wins. May and Cody eventually come upon a strange barrier connected to a video game system and realize they need to play to hack the system and open the way forward. Unbeknownst to either of them, Moon Baboon was watching from afar and recorded a conversation they had about getting Rose's tears. When May and Cody enter Rose's room, they traverse a pillow fort to reach her in order to get some of her tears, which they believe will return them to their original bodies. Rose returns to her room and feeling visibly upset, tosses Moon Baboon to the edge of her bed. However, since May's mind was elsewhere at the time, her body remains unresponsive. Unaware of what really happened, Rose shows her mother how she found Moon Baboon in her room and wonders if they could play together again like they used to. At some point, Moon Baboon secretly started monitoring Rose and tracking her well-being in his attempts to help her.ĭuring the time that May and Cody finally reach their house, Rose enters the room where May's body rests on a couch. Rose and May used to play with Moon Baboon and all of Rose's other space toys, but stopped for unknown reasons. Moon Baboon was hand picked by Rose and purchased by May during a trip to the space museum. He apparently cares deeply about Rose and will go to great lengths to help her be happy and ensure nobody harms her. Moon Baboon is extremely protective towards Rose, even though she doesn't play with him anymore. He also wears a white pack with his name printed on the back. Moon Baboon has two patches with pictures of rockets on both his arms and one with his name on his chest. He wears an orange jumpsuit with yellow cuffs and buttons. Moon Baboon has brown fur and, like an mandrill, he has blue and red markings on his face.
